I'm drawn to the beautifully complicated experience of being human. The loud parts, the quiet parts, the messy parts, the tender parts, and all the things we don't always know how to explain. I'm fascinated by the ways we connect with ourselves, with one another, with something greater than ourselves, and with the world around us. And I'm endlessly curious about what happens when we give ourselves permission to explore those connections through art.
That's what I want to create at Affinity Fire. Not just photographs, but space.
Space to play, to feel, to experiment, to be vulnerable, to be a little weird, to take up room, and to show up without needing to have it all figured out first.
I want to make art that feels like you, like a dream you almost remember, or like a little piece of your soul found its way into a photograph.
I'm a human fumbling and bumbling my way through this life, just like everyone else. I'm learning, unlearning, making mistakes, making art, and figuring things out as I go. I've always loved Bob Ross's idea that there are no mistakes, just happy accidents. I think there's something beautiful about allowing ourselves the grace to get things wrong, change direction, make a mess, and discover something wonderful we never would have found otherwise.
It's a philosophy I carry with me into my work.
Because I believe humanity is art. Creation is connection. And sometimes, being seen by someone else helps us see ourselves a little differently, too.

Through The Affinity Journals, I share the messy, beautiful, complicated parts of being human—motherhood, creativity, grief, healing, identity, burnout, and figuring things out as I go. Some episodes feel like late-night voice notes, others turn into deep conversations with incredible people about their experiences, passions, and perspectives.
Season Two especially is filled with hard moments, personal realizations, honest conversations, and the realities of navigating life after a late autism diagnosis, with season 3 unfolding.
I also hold space for political and social conversations, especially those impacting working-class and marginalized communities, because those realities shape everyday life.
At the end of the day, The Affinity Journals is just a space for honesty, connection, curiosity, and being unapologetically human.
